It's not long now until the RabócsiRing opens its doors and hosts one of the most important events of every motorsport season, TRACKWOOD. Don't know what it is? Then read on. This year, for the 12th time, the cream of Europe's drifters will gather for a crazy weekend of racing, partying and excitement. Hunakamo and the Drifting.hu team are working tirelessly to ensure that the races that take place are an experience you'll always remember. As every year, we are preparing new features and programmes, and you are not just buying a ticket for a race, but for a specific festival experience.
This year, for the first time, we will host the Polish Drift Open, where, unlike usual, the drivers will not compete in the PRO and PRO2 categories. Instead, we have raised the bar one step higher, with drivers competing in PRO and MASTERS.
On Friday, Kevin Piskolty will be signing under the Monster Energy tent from 10:00!
On Friday, we'll be able to get through the training sessions, get a taste of the doubles battles and see what we can expect the next day. Things will get more serious from the afternoon as we start qualifying in both categories. A special feature of the championship is that the qualifying rounds will also be run with Pairs battles.
On Friday evening DJ Atina, DJ Kicia and DJ Saidorsen will be hosting the party in the Party tent.
On Saturday morning, training will resume, but from midday the competitions will start. As every year, you can expect a night race, so the evening atmosphere and lights will be a captivating experience. Especially because the special cathedral-like design of the RabócsiRing allows you to see the whole course. Believe me, the setting sunlight filtering through the crazy clouds of smoke makes the whole event look like a movie.
We don't want to give everything away just yet to keep you excited for the coming weeks, but we already have more than 60 entries, including a number of internationally talented drivers. There will be some returning drivers we've seen on the tarmac of the RabócsiRing and you can also expect to see some young titans.
